このたび、7月28日に発生した「令和8年熊本地震」により被災された皆さまに、心よりお見舞い申し上げます。また、被災地において救命・救助、復旧活動などにご尽力されている皆さまに、深く敬意を表します。
今なお地震が続く中、不安な日々を過ごされている皆さまの安全と、被災地域の一日も早い復旧・復興を心よりお祈り申し上げます。
本学におきましても、被災された学生等への支援に取り組んでまいります。
【学生の皆さまへ】
本学では、学生や受験者が自然災害で被災された場合、経済的負担を軽減するため、審査の上、学生納付金を減免いたします。
・受験者の皆さま
災害救助法適用地の指定を受けた被害地域の受験者には、入学試験検定料を免除することがあります。また、入学後の授業料を減免することがあります。
・在学生の皆さま
災害により重大な被害を受け日常生活に支障をきたしている在学生には、授業料を減免することがあります。
(授業料減免について)
(1)罹災証明書の罹災状況が、家屋全壊(大規模半壊含む)の場合には、1年間の授業料を全額免除
(2)罹災証明書の罹災状況が、家屋半壊の場合には、1年間の授業料を半額免除
授業料等の減免措置の申請方法などについては、受験者は入試課、在学生は学生課、教学課にお尋ねください。

To Those Affected by the 2026 (Reiwa 8) Kumamoto Earthquake
We wish to express our heartfelt sympathy to everyone affected by the Kumamoto Earthquake that struck on July 28, 2026. We also wish to express our deep respect for all those engaged in lifesaving, rescue, and recovery efforts in the affected areas.
With aftershocks still continuing, we sincerely hope for the safety of all those living through these anxious days, and we pray for the swiftest possible recovery and reconstruction of the affected communities.
Japan University of Economics will likewise work to support students affected by the disaster.
For Our Students and Applicants
When students or applicants are affected by a natural disaster, the University reduces or waives student fees, subject to review, in order to ease their financial burden.
Applicants
Applicants from areas designated for assistance under the Disaster Relief Act may be exempted from the entrance examination application fee. Their tuition after enrollment may also be reduced or waived.
Enrolled Students
Enrolled students whose daily lives have been seriously disrupted by significant disaster damage may have their tuition reduced or waived.
Tuition reduction and exemption
- Where the disaster victim certificate (risai shomeisho) states that the residence was completely destroyed (including major partial destruction), tuition will be fully waived for one year.
- Where the disaster victim certificate states that the residence was partially destroyed, tuition will be reduced by half for one year.
For information on how to apply for tuition reductions and exemptions, applicants should contact the Admissions Office, and enrolled students should contact the Student Affairs Division or the Academic Affairs Division.
